Today is the 5th day of my bout with the flu. I can thank a co-worker who insisted on working thru her illness and her hacking all over the store. I think I am the 5th employee to come down with it and I am not willing to share with any others, so home I stay. The good news is that I am getting a lot of knitting done. I have nearly finished the first sock in the Fixation, for Alison who doesn't like wool. I started a new sock in the Slippery Socks pattern from Knitty.com. I have also worked on my Kauni cardigan. Working on the first sleeve and ready to start working it down in the round.
Amanda and her new friend, Preston, are visiting for the weekend and are up skiing for the day. I am not much of a hostess in my condition, and she is following me around sanitizing everything. Working in a hospital, she has the clean thing down!
